Module 1: Excel Essentials - Getting started - 1½ Hours This Excel session is for anyone who is new to Excel (or any other spreadsheet package) or those who have some experience editing data but are not confident using Excel.

Module 1: Excel Essentials - Getting started - 1½ Hours
This Excel session is for anyone who is new to Excel (or any other spreadsheet package) or those who have some experience editing data but are not confident using Excel.
Course prerequisites: Candidates must be confident in using Windows and a mouse. This module will cover:
- Customising the Quick Access Toolbar
- Customising the Ribbon
- Learn Shortcuts
- Moving Around/Selecting Areas of a Worksheet
- Understanding how to select and move around your spreadsheets efficiently
Module 2. Working with Data - 1½ Hours
This Excel session is for anyone who is new to Excel (or any other spreadsheet package) or those who have some experience editing data but are not confident using Excel.
Course prerequisites: Candidates must be confident around the Excel Interface This module will cover:
- Entering Data and Editing Data
- Moving and Copying Data
- Understanding the and using the clipboard
- Saving and closing workbooks
Module 3. Formatting the Worksheet - 1½ Hours
This Excel session is for anyone who can create a simple spreadsheet and wants to learn how to make it look professional by using the formatting tools.
Course prerequisites: Candidates must be confident in setting up a simple worksheet. This module will cover:
- Formatting worksheets
- Formatting text
- Merging cells
- Formatting Borders
- Cell formats
Module 4. Basic Formulas & Functions 1½ Hours
If you can create spreadsheet layouts but would like to get into using Excel's calculating power, this session can help you understand basic Functions and Formulas.
Course prerequisites: You will need to be confident setting up data in a spreadsheet, saving and locating the file.
