Course Overview

This Practitioner course is an APM Group Ltd (APMG) Accredited Course that covers the elements contained in the APMG Syllabus for the Agile PM™ Practitioner Course. The Practitioner course is aimed at individuals who have successfully completed their Agile PM™ Foundation examination and now need to review in detail Agile PM™ principles, processes, and techniques. The delegates are expected to apply their project management experience and knowledge of Agile PM™ to a given scenario.

To gain the most from the Practitioner Course we recommend that delegates should have had prior experience or awareness of projects and the project management environment.

Prior to Day One of the course, delegates should have completed their pre-course study pack. The course content and timing are based on the assumption that they will have done so. It is essential that the delegates have passed their Foundation Examination.

Could you please also ensure you understand fully the APMG Examination Candidate Terms & Conditions before making your booking. These are available at the following link http://www.apmg-international.com/home/TermsandConditions.asp.

Practitioner Examination

The Practitioner exam uses objective test questions which require a candidate to choose a response to a question from a set of choices for which the correct answer is pre-determined.

The question types include:

  • Classical Multiple Choice
  • Multiple Response
  • Matching
  • Sequencing
  • Assertion/Reason

Reference to the candidates own annotated Agile PM™ manual is permitted. No additional support material is permitted, including use of post-it notes and stapled sheets. A candidate, may however, index their manual.

The examination is two hours in duration. This includes any time required to analyse the scenario and any additional information required to answer the questions.

The Question Booklet will contain four questions, each covering a different syllabus area which will be clearly identified at the beginning of each question. Each of the four questions contains 15 question lines, each of which attracts 1 mark, giving a total of 60 marks. The pass mark is 30 (50%). Each of the four questions will be sub-divided into parts. Each of the ‘part- questions will identify the portion of the 15 marks allocated to it. Candidates are expected to answer all questions and part-questions.
