Course Overview
You will learn how to apply the three rules of time management to better control your environment, prioritise your tasks, schedule your activities, deal with interruptions and minimise your distractions The pre-work will provide the models, theories and ideas that support this course, and the virtual session will concentrate on practical activities that help to consolidate this learning.
This virtual workshop is delivered as blended training with a 3-hour virtual session on Zoom and some supplementary pre and post work.
The virtual session will run from 9.30 a.m. – 13.00 p.m. with a 30-minute break. The pre and post work will be made available on email or via JCS LMS. It is a requirement that the pre-work be completed prior to attending the programme.

Through the pre-work and the virtual sessions participants will be able to:
- Identify the barriers that get in the way of you doing the work.
- Apply basic tools and techniques to better take control of what you do in the time available.
- Understand the importance of planning and prioritising your workload.
- Identify behaviours in self and others that cause time to be lost.
- Recognise the value of self-discipline in managing time effectively.
The Post-Activity will allow participants to:
- Recognise their own time management dilemmas and highlight in an action plan the tools, techniques and skills needed to address them.
