Conclusion

Practitioner Examination

The Practitioner exam uses objective test questions which require a candidate to choose a

response to a question from a set of choices for which the correct answer is pre-determined.

The question types include:

  • Classical Multiple Choice
  • Multiple Response
  • Matching
  • Sequencing
  • Assertion/Reason

Reference to the candidates’ own annotated MSP manual is permitted. No additional support

material is permitted, including use of post-it notes and stapled sheets. A candidate, may

however, index their manual.

The examination is two and a half hours in duration. This includes any time required to

analyse the scenario and any additional information required to answer the questions.

The Question Booklet will contain eight questions, each covering a different syllabus area

which will be clearly identified at the beginning of each question. Each of the eight questions

contains 10 question lines, each of which attracts 1 mark, giving a total of 80 marks. The

pass mark is 40 (50%). Each of the eight questions will be sub-divided into parts. Each of

the ‘part-questions’ will identify the portion of the 10 marks allocated to it. You are expected

to answer all questions and part-questions

Prerequisites

To gain the most from the Practitioner Course we recommend that delegates should have had

prior experience or awareness of programmes and the programme management

environment. Prior to Day One of the course, delegates should have completed their pre-course study pack. The course content and timing is based on the assumption that they will have done so.

It is essential that the delegates have passed their Foundation Examination.
