Implementing WAN Optimization With Citrix CloudBridge 7

Overview

 Course Duration 3 Days

The objective of Implementing WAN Optimization with Citrix CloudBridge 7 is to provide the foundational concepts and skills necessary to implement, configure, secure, and monitor a Citrix CloudBridge system in a WAN environment, providing application and data access to users. This course is designed specifically for learners who have limited or no previous CloudBridge experience. In order to successfully complete this course, learners will have access to hands-on exercises within a virtual lab environment.

This course is based on the Citrix CloudBridge product version 7.2, but the skills and fundamental concepts learned are common to earlier product versions.

Target Audience

This course is recommended for learners who are:

  • New to the CloudBridge platform
  • Interested in WAN optimization using CloudBridge.

Prerequisites

Please note: Effective 10th of February 2014 Citrix course materials will only be available to delegates in e-courseware format. Delegates will be provided with instructions on how to access their e-courseware on day one of the event. Those delegates who are attending via either virtual or extended classroom will be required to provide either three monitors (to view courseware, labs and instructor demos simultaneously) or two monitors and a mobile device. Delegates will be required to have an active TCC (Training.Citrix.com) account in order to access course materials and labs.

Technical pre-requisites

Before taking this course, Citrix recommends that learners have the following:

  • Familiarity with LAN and WAN principles
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2
  • Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Remote Desktop Services
  • Basic understanding of Windows Server networking concepts, such as DNS, IIS®, and load balancing
  • Exposure to basic system administration concepts, including logging, software upgrade procedures, and high availability operations
  • Familiarity with server monitoring tools
  • Basic understanding of VPN concepts, including SSL encryption and certificates
